Copying projects and keeping separate plug-ins in sync

In terms of Portfolio for Jira:

1. Will copying one project to another in Portfolio for Jira allow us to keep the same paths or will it require us to rebuild a new project each time?
2. If there is one Portfolio for Jira plug-in that we are using, and a separate one that our Client is using, is there a way to keep both instances in sync with each other?
