How can I get start using Structured for totally new project?

I'm trying to test trying to use Structure to create Epic hierarchy and Epic-Story structure view.

I created a new project with only few Epics and Stories

Then  create a board for this project, the board displayed Stories, with Epics tab.

Simple JQL like Project=<MyProject> did give me the list of all issues.

Then I went to Create Structure based on the Board I just created, I got an empty structure.

When I clicked Add --> Search & Add, I saw the JQL screen on the right, where I can type in the JQL. But even with a catch-all JQL like  "Project=<MyProject>". the query returned empty list.

There must be something missing here that filter the issues out.

What is it?
