Finish to start link puts the target issue before

Frank Thys October 12, 2018

I get following unexpected behaviour;

Structure.Gantt Finish to start schedule.png

When changing the resource this becomes as expected.

What resource configuration is causing this?

Anyone who had the same and found the cause?

Version 4.5.1

Hello Vlad,

Thanks for your response.

A fully expanded structure is shown.

Untitled.png

The links shown are the only ones defined for the issues.

A incorporates the previous issue only and is only incorporated by B.

Same for B, incorporates A and is incorporated by C, etc.

I did a quick test and removed the 'incorporates link' of A:

So it seems the order of all subsequent issues is flipped just by removing the link in the first issue.

As said before the order is also flipped just by changing the resource.

Note that different availability setting changes the size of the bar.

Any suggestion in what direction I have to look?

Hi Frank!

Sorry for the delayed response.

This shows the Gantt chart portion only. Apologies if I wasn't clear enough previously. Can you also include the Primary (left) panel as well so we can take a peek at the actual structure? It would also help with the investigation if we could get a screenshot of your Gantt Chart Dependencies Settings, please (Gantt Chart Settings|Gantt Chart Configuration|Edit|Dependencies)

If easier, please send an email with the requested information to support@almworks.com, which will create a Service Desk ticket in our Support portal.

Best Regards,

Vlad

Thanks for your post.

In order to better assist you, could you kindly share a screenshot with the issues expanded so we can visualize all the dependencies?

We can also be reached through our Service Desk portal at support@almworks.com. I look forward to helping you.
