Can I import multiple new users into multiple groups each using the .csv importer?

Scot Jandly December 1, 2011

I have about 80 or so user accounts to create. They all need to belong to about five groups each (same groups for each user). This documentation provides an example group membership .csv, but it only shows each user belonging to one group. I attempted to add a few more 'group name' columns, and ran the importer. I mapped all the group name columns to the 'group name' field, then proceed, and Crowd threw an exception. It works when I only want to add the imported users to one group at a time, but adding the remaining would be tedious.

Perhaps I've overlooked something, or can anybody advise how to import users and add them to several groups all at once (or in as few steps as possible)?

Oh, thanks! I see now that we need a separate line for each group membership.
