Creating multiple workflows for different issue types in the same project

Hello! 

I am looking for some recommendations to create two DIFFERENT workflows for DIFFERENT issues within the SAME project. 

We have a project with 5 Initiatives, and 2-5 Epics under each initiative.  We would like to have these two issue types go through one workflow based on classic project management project phases (research, plan, execute, monitor, done).  We've already created this workflow and the scheme to the project.

We have also have 2 more issue types at the child level (under Epics) -  Tasks and Subtasks.  We would prefer that these go through the standard workflow ("to do", "In progress" and "done") rather than the project management phases. 

Is it possible use both of these workflows within one project?  If so, how will they appear on the kanban board?

Sure, it’s possible.

The process varies slightly depending on the project type: team-managed or company-managed.

• For team-managed projects, you need to configure it directly in the issue type settings. However, this is probably not your case.
• For company-managed projects, you’ll need to:
  1. Add the workflow to your workflow scheme.
  2. Associate it with the desired issue types.
  3. Migrate existing issues of that type to the new workflow.
