Comala workflows: notify Page Owner

Bernd Anderer

I was wondering if there is an option to solve the follwing workflow with Comala WF (Confluence Server).

We want to define a page owner for certain Confluence pages. If a page needs a review the WF should notify the page owner (not the creator of the page or the person that saved it last). Of course Page Owner should be a variable that we can define for each page.

Any idea on how to implement this?

Thank you!

The Better Content Archiving for Confluence app has a built-in page owner concept that integrates with automatic notifications:
  1. You can select owners for each page (and blog post), or even for a complete tree of pages.
  2. You can send custom notification emails with a page list defined by a CQL to selected recipients.
Having those features, just define a notification with this CQL:
 arch.status = "To review"
...and check the "owners" option at the notification:

You're done!

Hey @Bernd Anderer it sounds like Workflows Parameters might be the answer for you. They would allow end users to assign a reviewer each time a workflow is applied. Once the reviewer is assigned in a given state the default behaviour is to send them a Confluence notification.

You can learn a little more about parameters here: https://wiki.comalatech.com/display/CWL/workflowparameter+macro

Hope this helps!
