Hi @Manuela Gomes ,

The following should work:

  1. Navigate to https://your_cloud_name.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/project/searc
  2. Copy everything from "values" to the end of the JSON file into your clipboard
  3. Use an online look like https://data.page/json/csv to convert the JSON from your clipboard into a CSV file. There should be a column "values__name" with all your project names and values__key with the key values.

@Dawid Joshua _TechTime_ I used your solution and it worked - thank you!

The only thing I did differently was use https://domain.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/project/ instead of .../project/search because .../project returned the complete list of projects, whereas .../project/search returned only the first 50 projects by alphabetical order.

Everything else was spot-on though. Thank you again!!

hi, this worked great for pulling up the list of projects. One question, is there anyway to see a time stamp of last used or last time an issue was updated within the project in the results?

You can easily do that with the Better Excel Exporter app. Follow this tutorial.

(Discl. it is a paid and supported app, developed by our team.)

Not with one click.

But:

  1. You could either develop a template that does it. You have the default "project-export.xlsx" template and its Groovy script as starting point. Plus, you can find the sample code for accessing Insights data in "insight-tool.groovy". These are great starting points.
  2. Or:
    1. Export all projects to one spreadsheet.
    2. Then export the issues in one project with their Insight-managed fields to another spreadsheet.
      1. Repeat it for all projects.
    3. Combine the previously exported spreadsheets into one using the Excel feature set.

1 is the elegant solution, which should be preferred if this is something that you want export time to time repeatedly. 2 is a manual approach, it doesn't require any scripting skills, but it is more work if you have to do this again and again.

Thanks a lot @Aron Gombas _Midori_ for this detailed answer!! I'll make sure to try both solutions and see which one fits better for our need :)

@Karthikeyan_Rajagopal It's not available out of the box. If you don't see the Apps menu, talk to your admin and ask them to install an app that can help you with this, like Better Excel Exporter.

Adding a comment here to highlight that @Dawid Joshua _TechTime_ solution posted on this page works! No 3rd party app needed.

Hello @Manuela Gomes

Welcome to the community.

There is not a built-in report for getting the list of projects. You can use a third party app or you can use the Jira REST API to get that information.
