Dashboard in Jira

I am trying to create a stacked bar chart in dashboard in Jira displaying multiple projects in the x-axis and number of issues in the y-axis. Bars should be divided in multiple parts with different colours to represent various statuses, for instance, To do. in progress, testing and product released. Is it possible? I have tried creating a custom filter and using it in gadgets to make dashboard but it is not working.

Such chart cannot be generated by using Jira's default gadgets. But, as advised already, you could search for an app on Atlassian Marketplace that provides such gadget. Many apps are also free if you have the Jira FREE plan.

There is no built-in dashboard gadget to display what you described.

Please check the Atlassian Marketplace for gadgets to help.  As you appear to be on a "Free" Jira license level, several gadgets are also free at that level (i.e., for 10 users or less).

As you want the chart to show multiple projects, are the projects company-managed or team-managed types?

If they are team-managed, the status values will be different for each...even when they have the same name, such as "In Progress".  Ensure the marketplace gadget you use can combine them correctly.

it aint no bar representation, but perhaps the "two dimensional filter statistics" gadget might be of help.

Can you suggest any free apps in the market place that can help me achieve my requirement?
