When exporting query results into a csv file, formatting tags appear such as "Â", "{code:java}", "{color:#333333}", etc.
Is there a more efficient way of removing these tags instead of manually doing a search and replace for every one of them?
So trying that removes the following character "Â", however the other formatting tags such as "{code:java}" and "{color:#333333}" still remain. How do I remove these?
Thanks

There is an issue at atlassian, so i think you can't do it with jira, maybe some plugin will allow you to remove tag but it is not native in jira.

It is now 2026. Has anybody found a workable solution since this problem was posted in 2018? We have a project in Jira that contained plain text -- it came out formatted fine when we exported to Excel or CSV. But somebody trying to be helpful added redline markup (red strikethrough, blue underline) for proposed changes. The export then contained markup tags embedded within the text. They tried to edit it back to plain text, but ended up with new color tags making the text black. Any suggestions?
