We see an announcement about Work type field https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-articles/It-s-here-Work-is-the-new-collective-term-for-all-items-you/ba-p/2954892 stating that there will not be any change in API responses. but our customers faced a problem that issue_type field was null in API responses while work_type had values from June 25 till July 01. And on July 01 the behaviour was reverted. We faced the similar problem already in March and again it was reverted back in April.
Can you provide more details why were API response changed without any announcement? What is the plans about issue_type in API?
