Hi there, I just want to make sure how the flat fee worked for a team of five to seven people, I understand that the flat fee is $10 so that means that all we have to pay at the end of each month, as long as we are less than 10 people, is just $10, right?
I wanna make sure, cause I don't wanna encounter any surprise if suddenly they charge us up $10 PER USER instead of just $10 that is how I expect a price with the flat fee description should work.
I really appreciate any response from a x-ray worker or a x-ray user that has a team of less than 10 people!
Hi, @Tomas Sepulveda
Yes, you are correct. Atlassian Marketplace apps on Cloud use tier-based pricing, and the first tier covers up to 10 Jira users at a flat rate — not per user.
For Xray Standard, that's $10/month (or $100/year). So if your Jira instance has 5–7 users, you pay $10/month total, period. It doesn't matter whether 2 or all 7 of them actually use Xray — the price is based on the total number of licensed Jira users on your site, not Xray-specific users.
Zephyr Scale works the same way. All Marketplace Cloud apps follow this model: flat rate up to 10 users, then the price scales in tiers as your Jira user count grows (25, 50, 100, etc.). The per-user cost actually drops at higher tiers, but you can't selectively license only certain users — it's always tied to your Jira site's total user count.
One important thing: if your team grows past 10 Jira users, the pricing will jump to the next tier automatically. Track your Jira user count, not just who's actively using the app.
You can always check the exact tiers on the Marketplace listing by clicking the "Pricing" tab for each app.
