Probably doing something g stupid, but I cant change the logo on the Portal setup page!
Whether I drop in the new logo or select if from finder, the logo appears in preview , as soon as Upload process finishes the original logo reappears - any help appreciated

Just to better understand, are you changing the logo of the help center or of the portal?
The logo from the portal is changed on the Project settings > Channels > Customer portal (next-gen) or Project settings > Portal settings (classic) and the logo from the help center is changed where Manon mentioned. I'm asking so we can follow the same steps here.
Can you please open de developer tools on your browser and check on the console if it shows any error while uploading the logo?

Do you click on Save changes once the logo is uploaded?
Have you tried with another logo to ensure it isn't due to the specific one you're uploading?
