Hi,
this is really weird but we upgraded to bitbucket 6.6 and i cannot find anymore the link "Tags" we had on the left panel.
It was so convenient to have a complete and detailed overview of all tags.
Also i could edit/remove tag and description from there, where is this all gone?
This feature we really liked and used extensively
Thank you
BR, gilles
Hi @GK
Just from your description, it is difficult to identify where the Tags link was located (or in which page/location you miss it).
Are you talking about this one?
Sorry, i realized my first assumption was wrong.
In fact this feature was not part of bitbucket core but a plugin that has disappeared from the official dashboard, i believe it was the "tag maker" announced here:
https://stiltsoft.com/blog/2015/04/top-5-new-add-ons-for-atlassian-stash-first-quarter-2015/
The "Tags" link i described was on the left (main) panel with all the others "Commits, Branches,..". From there i could access all tags and edit, remove etc...
So i was wondering why such a convenient feature is no more available?
Thank you

Hi @GK
Good to know you discovered it was a plugin feature. Unfortunately, this plugin is not anymore available. It was designed by a company called CalmWare which does not seem to have updated it for newer versions of Bitbucket. I was not even able to find the plugin information in our market place. It was a free plugin, probably an attempt to find a new market.
I would suggest you check our market place for a new option that can provide you with similar functionalities but for newer Bitbucket versions.

Unfortunately I cannot find any other plugin which has a similar functionality.
This feature was so convenient (and a must for us) that i was convinced it was part of bitbucket core.

Hi @GK
That plugin was designed by https://calmware.be/ which does not seem to be in the game anymore or was acquired by https://www.evolane.be/. Since it was not designed by Atlassian, we can't do anything about it.
Can you share what is the native feature missing from that plugin that makes it so essential in your case?
Are you using the native feature to create tags?

Hi @Daniel Santos ,
yes, i am aware of the available stuff in bitbucket for tags, we use them well.
As far as i can remember, the Tags "dashboard" was a table with 4 columns:
Column 1: tag name
Column 2: hash link
Column 3: description of the tag (NOT the commit message but the description you enter when you create a tag).
Column 4: two buttons "Edit + Remove". Very important edit functionality was the possibility to modify the description and/or the hash, very practical when you need to hotfix a tag for a pipeline or build scripts.
So to summarize, looking in this table, at a glance you could read the history of the tags, in other term our release notes for our pipelines and do all the editing operations from there.

Hi @GK
I cannot create a plugin feature request. I mean a set of features with the design you shared. The best I can do is to request what is missing in Bitbucket. In this case, I can see that tag descriptions are missing and also we cannot edit or remove them.
I found the following feature request that represents the tag description missing in the UI:
I've created this one to cover the edit and remove parts:
I know you wanted a solution for now, but unfortunately, that plugin was not designed by Atlassian and the option we have now is to suggest changes in the product and that will take some time to happen.
I hope that helps.
