Lucidchart clarification of pricing

Alan Pearman February 26, 2013

Is the subscription to Lucidchart included in the OnDemand subscription or is there an extra cost if we start using it?

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Add-ons+in+OnDemand suggests that it is a free add on but the Lucidchart site gives various pricing options.

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,

It looks like you're right, it appears that after configuring the plug in your instance, you can click "Sign up" and you are directed to this page - https://www.lucidchart.com/users/registerLevel.

From this chart it looks as though there is no JIRA/Confluence support unless you have a paid account.

There is a free trial for 14-days, no credit card needed.

I've updated the Plugin Page you linked here - https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Add-ons+in+OnDemand to include the change.

Thanks for alerting us to this!

Cheers,

Miranda

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your question and you are correct. The Lucidchart plugin for Confluence OnDemand requires the user to be on a Lucidchart Team account. You can get started with a free two-week trial of a Team account and then decide if the services meet your needs and if so, subscribe to a Team account.

Also, keep in mind that no matter the number of users on your OnDemand instance, you can have a smaller number of Lucidchart users. So if there are 50 people in your company but only 10 need to create diagrams, just pay for the Team-10 account and the rest can still view the diagrams that are inserted? Does this make sense? Feel free to call if you have questions.

Luiz and Miranda, thanks for your assistance with this.

Cheers,
Mitch Dumke

Hello Alan,

As the Lucidchart is a third-party plugin developed by the Lucidchart company, to obtain this kind of information about the cost of the license I would suggest you to make a contact with the plugin's provider by the following:

http://www.lucidchart.com/

support@lucidchart.com

As described in the page that you mentioned after the 14-day trial, you must purchase a license and to do this you'll have to make a contact with the Lucichart.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

LJ.

Hi Luiz

Thanks for this. I had checked the Lucidchart website hence the question as the Atlassian documentation listed this under free addons. Miranda has updated the latter so all is answered.

Cheers

Hi Alan,

The documentation you have linked to actiually states, (in reference to the LuciChart addon):

"A 14-day free trial is available with no credit card required. After the 14-day trial, you must purchase a license."

So I'm sorry to say that it is a commercial addon that you must purchase in addition to your OnDemand instance in the event that you want to use that addon.

All the best,
John
